The third in our series of The Players desktop wallpapers is now available for download HERE!  This is Alex Puccio bouldering Dead Serious (v10) in Hueco Tanks, Texas. This photo was originally shot by Andy Mann, while shooting for our film The PlayersMarc Russo adapted the image to the grafiti style for the inside DVD packaging art. Then I addapted this art into the wallpaper! Be sure to check out Alex Puccio’s segment in The Players. I shot Alex as she crushed Trice V12 on Flagstaff Mountain, Colorado.  We then followed her on a quick one week trip to Hueco, where she did numerous V10’s, including Dead Serious and Power of Silence! Alex also put a really strong effort into Slashface V13, doing all the moves except for one! Help support our productions and pick up your copy of The Players today at www.BSProductions.us

It’s been a while since I updated the blog with some of my photo work that has been recently published. That is because I have been working non stop on my current video project, The Players. Here are a few images from the climbing world that have made it out to the public!

First is an image from my trip to Vietnam with Joe Brooks and Chris Lindner. We were boating around Ha Long Bay looking for new deep water soloing. Amazing experience! As far as media goes, I was shooting video for Chris Lindner’s segment of The Players and photos for a story in Climbing Mag. The editors were nice enough to let me license an image to National Geographic Adventure before their story came out.

Second is a portrait I shot of Boulder’s Christian Griffith. CG is the owner of Verve, a climbing and yoga apparel company. He’s also one of the pioneers of modern sport climbing in the US! We shot this very quickly outside Verve’s shop in Boulder, Co. I used two Alien Bee 800’s to light the portrait, one to Christian’s right and one to the left. Check out the mag on newsstands now for CG’s full interview !

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I have been real busy juggling several projects. There are two DVD projects in the works. One is The Players which is due out in May 09. The other will be released in January, but I am waiting to announce what this is. I’ve also been working hard with Mike Call and Eric Perlman to put together a huge spring film tour called the Stone Alliance Tour. We’re currently lining everything up, but be sure to watch for a show coming to a city near you!

I just got word that our short festival cut from SPRAY was is an “Official Selection” in the 2009 X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival! This is the last festival of the season for SPRAY and I’m proud to say it’s been selected for every festival we’ve entered it into. Pretty awesome being that this was our first year on the festival circuit! Over the past year, we’ve been selected for the Telluride Mountain Film, Taos Mountain Film Festival, Banff Mountain Film Festival, International Climbers Festival, and X-Dance! I’ll definitely be working on something for 09.

As the year approaches its end, its time to start shopping for a new wall calendar for 2009. Whether its a gift you request for the holidays, something you buy yourself, or a gift for a friend, the Rock and Ice 2009 Wall Calendar is a great choice. Of course I’m a fan because my photo of Joe Kinder climbing Surf Safari 5.13d at Mickey’s Beach, Ca is featured on the cover! Check it out…
